Most students on the South Fork have spring break coming up, so here are a few ideas for how they can pass the time with fun and educational activities.

Project Most's Learning Lab

Another round of workshops and academic assistance courses via Project Most's School Vacation Learning Lab is open to kids as young as 4 years old through fifth grade over spring break, March 29 to April 2. The cost is $370 for a full week of art, physical fitness, STEM, Lego club, organized games, reading, mindfulness, dance, and Double Dutch jump-roping. Detailed information is online at bit.ly/2Q6zicT.

Artful Times at the Parrish

At the Parrish Art Museum, two spring break art classes for kids in first through sixth grades will focus on sculpture. The sessions are Monday, March 29, and Wednesday, March 31, from 11 a.m. to noon. The cost is $35 per child or $25 for museum members.

Get Moving

The A&G Dance Company will lead four days of dance and art activities at the Southampton Cultural Center. For kids ages 3 to 5, tuition is $300 for all four days or $100 per day for drop-ins. They should wear comfortable clothes for movement, and should take lunch and water, a smock or T-shirt for art, and a change of clothes just in case. Parents can either drop-off their children or wait in the lobby. Details are at bit.ly/3bOeizP.

Outdoor Fun

The South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center has several events lined up between March 29 and April 2, all from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Children can take nature walks to learn about birds, bugs, and salamanders. On April 1, the theme is "April fools," when it's up to the kids to figure out what doesn't belong on the trail behind the museum. The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children, though museum members can get in for free. Participants must sign up in advance by sending an email to [email protected] or calling 631-537-9735.
