The days of spilling your drink are over. Canned cocktails have become the new It drink and East End institutions like the Stephen Talkhouse, Montauk Brewing Co., and Westhampton Beach Brewing Co. are here for it, mixing up drinks that can easily be transported to parties and taken on boat outings or camping trips.

On Main Street in Amagansett, the Talkhouse has been famously anchoring the music scene since the 1970s. The daughter of one of the venue’s owners, Ruby Honerkamp, captures the spirit of those long, rowdy nights with her drink, called Talkhouse Encore. Made with tequila, vodka, and natural juices — there are cranberry, lime, blood or- ange, and grapefruit options available — they’re available at the Talkhouse and nearby wine-and-liquor stores. Pair with tunes by Hello Brooklyn or Rubix Cube.

With her Perfect Cosmo, Sarah Jessica Parker, a part- time Sag Harbor resident, surprised absolutely no one by perfecting a tasty cocktail-in-a-can (even though cans are not very Carrie Bradshaw of her). The fun and flirty Cosmopolitan incorporates sweet cranberries with a note of strawberries, fresh-squeezed lime, and, of course, vodka. Gather the girls and spill some tea.

Westhampton Beach Brewery, though relatively new in town, is already on the map with its Dune Road Piña Cola- da Hard Seltzer. The Montauk Brewing Company has gotten crazy-good reviews on its line of hard seltzers, offering a variety pack that includes lemon lime, mixed berry, black cherry, and raspberry lime. And just this month, Montaukila is releasing a pomegranate-infused canned tequila drink, available at Lobster Roll and local distributors.

Launched in 2014, Fishers Island Lemonade was one of the first canned cocktails to hit the market. It’s based on the famous house drink, The FIL, at the family-owned Pequot Inn on the tiny island off Long Island’s North Fork. Using ingredients like premium vodka, barrel-aged whiskey, lemon, and honey, Fishers Island has racked up industry awards and expanded its flavor profiles to include Fishers Half & Half, Fishers Pink Flamingo, Fishers Blueberry Wave, Fishers Nude Peach, and Fishers Fizz.
