DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY AT 5 P.M.

The New Music Series at the Arts Center at Duck Creek in Springs will welcome the Akili Bradley Quartet Thursday evening at 6. Based in Boston, Ms. Bradley is a trumpeter and composer whose star, according to the arts center, is rising in the world of contemporary jazz.

Originally from California, she cultivated her talent through the educational programs of the Monterey Jazz Festival, including the County All-Star Band and the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra. She is now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in performance at the Berklee College of Music.

The performance is free. Audience members have been encouraged to take beach chairs and picnics.
