“Charlotte Park and James Brooks—Of This Place,” an exhibition exploring the connection between two of the East End’s celebrated artists and the beauty surrounding their Springs home and studios, will open at the Leiber Collection with a reception Saturday from 4 to 5:30 and run through Oct. 5. The show, presented in collaboration with Brooks-Park Home and Studios on Neck Path, reveals how the area’s distinct light, vistas, and isolation helped shape their creative vision. Park’s gestural lyricism and Brooks’s bold structured compositions are unified by a shared sense of place and a life in art. The Leiber Collection is grateful to Esperanza Leon of the Brooks-Park Home and Studios, Christine Berry from Berry Campbell Gallery, Guild Hall, and the Parrish Art Museum.
