Jazz Singer at the East Hampton Library

Joy Jan Jones, a local vocalist, will perform a program of American jazz classics at the East Hampton Library.

Joy Jan Jones, a singer across genres, instrumentalist, writer, and producer, will perform a repertoire of classic American jazz songs in the Baldwin Room of the East Hampton Library Friday at 6 p.m.

Ms. Jones, who is the cantor at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, has sung at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, during New York City’s Fashion Week, and at the city’s annual Greenwich Village Halloween parade.

She has a master’s degree in music in performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, where she won first place in the New York State Music Teachers Association national vocal competition and in the classical singer vocal competition at the graduate university level.

The concert is free.
