Paula Poundstone at Bay Street

Paula Poundstone, a comedian known for her smart, observational humor and spontaneous wit, will perform a standup set at Sag Harbor’s Bay Street Theater on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Ms. Poundstone was the first female comic to host the White House Correspondents Dinner. Her résumé includes three comedy specials on HBO, five comedy albums, multiple television roles, and two books, “There Is Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say” and “The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search for Human Happiness,” which was a semifinalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor.

Tickets are $129.99 to $149.99; only a handful remained at press time.
