Take Me Out to the (Very) Old Ball Game

Fri, 06/28/2019 - 15:36

Get ready for old-time baseball — very old-time baseball, at Herrick Park on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The public has been invited to step back in time with the East Hampton Historical Farm Museum, as the New York Mutual Base Ball Club plays the Brooklyn Atlantics in an exhibition game, the way the game was played in 1864 and with uniforms and equipment in the style of the era. There is no charge for admission.

The museum has suggested that spectators take a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, and park in the Lumber Lane long-term lot or at the John M. Marshall Elementary School.
