Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks point guard and N.B.A. finals M.V.P., visited with members of East Hampton’s boys and girls basketball teams in the middle school gym on Friday. Brunson invited the teams to attend his workout that day. While the district kept most of the details of the workout private to respect Brunson’s privacy, Todd Gulluscio, the new athletic director, shared the above photo.
“For our student-athletes to be able to see the work that goes in beyond the game of a professional athlete such as Jalen is a gift that we are very grateful for,” he said. “Jalen and everyone associated with him are very polite, professional, and first-class people. We are very thankful to him and his team for sharing that experience with us.”
