Ma’s House Meets Kidd Squid
Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio, the Indigenous-led communal art space on the Shinnecock Reservation, and Kidd Squid Brewing Company in Sag Harbor have announced a collaboration that will feature the work of BIPOC artists on one of Kidd Squid’s beer series.
The first label in the series is the work of Stephen Longoria, a printmaker based in California and 2023 artist resident at Ma’s House. Drawing on the histories of printmaking and graffiti, Longoria creates art that reflects the diverse subcultures within those mediums. He has created a series of pieces that reflect the East End, including “East Hampton” and “Montauk,” which will appear on Ma’s House India Pale Ale, a limited edition available in the brewery’s tasting room.
The launch release will be celebrated Friday at 5 p.m. at the brewery. The free event will include live music.
Artisanal French Pastries
L&W Market in Bridgehampton has joined forces with Rémy Ertaud, a pastry chef who launched Maison Ertaud, an artisanal pastry concept, after spending two years training in Paris at the three-Michelin-starred Le Pré Catelan. He eventually managed the entire pastry department there.
Available on the East End exclusively at L&W Market, the pastry selection includes banana bread, blueberry scones, croissants, pain au chocolat, quiche Lorraine, cheddar biscuits, almond croissants, and brownies. Selections will change with the seasons.
