It isn’t quite time for trick-or-treating just yet, but the Halloween fun has already begun with parties, movies, crafts, and other activities for kids of all ages.

Tomorrow at the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton, there will be an after-hours Halloween party for students in sixth through 12th grades from 6 to 8:30 p.m., featuring games, food, crafts, and other activities. Teens can also have fun experimenting with zombie makeup effects — dress for a mess! — on Tuesday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Next Thursday for kids 8 to 12, the STEM activity will be slime making with a “monster blood” theme from 4 to 5 p.m.

The East Hampton Library has Halloween-themed activities. High school students can drop in on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. to make seasonal decorations to take home. Children 3 to 6 can make masking-tape mummies on Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. Next Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., teen help is needed to make decorations for the big haunted library coming up on Oct. 28; community service hours will be awarded to those who show up.

The John Jermain Memorial Library, though closed for renovations, has at-home pumpkin-decorating kits on offer for all ages. Parents should phone the library at 631-725-0049 and go to the main entrance to pick up the supplies. Decorated pumpkins can be returned to the library starting Sunday for a weeklong community display.

Project Most will also offer pumpkin decorating, this one a session for kids 3 and up on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Most Holy Trinity school building in East Hampton. Caregivers must accompany children 4 and under.

Don’t forget the spooky movies! The Montauk Library will show “Hocus Pocus,” the 1993, PG-13 original, for teens 13 and up on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. Looking ahead to the following weekend, the Sag Harbor Cinema will show the film “Corpse Bride” (2005, rated PG) on Saturday, Oct. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 29.

Coming up next Thursday is Baby’s First Halloween at the Children’s Museum of the East End from 10 to 11 a.m. There will be playtime, crafts, music, and photo opportunities for kids up to 24 months. The event is free for museum members and costs $19 per person for general admission.

Also looking ahead, The Church, an arts center in Sag Harbor, will host Adriana Devers, a children’s author, for bilingual Halloween story time on Friday, Oct. 27, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Costumes are encouraged, and refreshments will be available. Also next weekend, the East Hampton Kiwanis will host its Family Fun Day at the American Legion in Amagansett from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5.

Most events, with the exception of the Kiwanis one, require advance registration or ticket purchases either online or by phone, so each organization should be contacted directly.
