Shakespeare for Kids

The Neo-Political Cowgirls will present student workshops and performances of “The Dreamer,” a version of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” told through the perspective of a young girl, starting Monday and running through Friday, Oct. 27.

“Working with youth on understanding Shakespeare means to be essentially sitting around a figurative fire of curiosity together, feeling the warmth of questions and running with that energy to see where it leads us as we examine the weaving story threads one by one,” Kate Mueth, the founder and artistic director of the Neo-Political Cowgirls, said in an announcement.

The workshops are open to school groups, while the performances on Wednesday and next Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. are open to the public. Tickets and additional information can be found online at npcowgirls.org.
