You know it’s high season when five benefits are happening on a single weekend, starting Friday when the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center hosts its annual summer kickoff cocktail party at East Hampton’s Mulford Farm from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The evening will include hors d’oeuvres by East Hampton Kitchen, wines from Wölffer Estate Vineyard, bluegrass, folk, and “old time” music by Wild Magnolias, and a silent auction.
General admission is $250, $150 for those 40 and under, and $75 for current and former parents and former students of the center. A pay-what-you-can option is also available via a link on the center’s website.
Beautopia, LongHouse Reserve’s summer benefit, will be held on Saturday evening from 5:30 to 11. A highlight is LongHouse’s annual art auction, featuring work by global, local, and emerging artists. Also on the menu is dinner by Hamptons Aristocrat and a live auction of “one-of-a-kind experiences.” The evening’s honorees are Sean Scully and Bruce Horten.
Tickets are $1,500, $200 for an after-party with dessert and dancing.
The Southampton Arts Center will hold its summer benefit, Whimsy: Latin Jazz Party, on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres from Robbins Wolfe, live entertainment, and dancing to the Maria Raquel Quintet will make for a lively evening. The filmmaker Lana Jokel will receive the arts center’s inaugural Community Leader Award in recognition of her generosity to the center and other local institutions.
Tickets are $350, $200 for those 40 and under.
Family Fete, a benefit for the FEED Foundation and Amber Waves Farm, is also set for Saturday, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the farm in Amagansett. The event will feature wood-fired pizzas and fresh vegetables from the farm, prepared by Marina Schulze, a private chef; local drinks, live music, and activities and games for children. Both beneficiaries are dedicated to feeding neighbors and families in need.
General admission is $250, free for children 2 and under.
Sunday will not be a day of rest for Project MOST, which will hold its fund-raiser from 4 to 6 p.m. at Moby’s restaurant in East Hampton. The benefit will feature drinks, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a silent auction. The honoree will be Joe O’Connell, who died in 2022, for his generosity and commitment to Project Most.
Tickets are $150, $250 per couple, and $25 for children.
