Groot and Barone at Kramoris Gallery

Wed, 09/10/2025 - 11:00
Barbara Groot's painting "Waterhole 16" is at Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor.

An exhibition of works by Barbara Groot and Adriana Barone opens Thursday at Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor and will continue through Oct. 2. A reception will take place on Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

While she is inspired by the light and natural beauty of the East End, Ms. Groot has said, "My work is an abstract expression of my surroundings." As the gallery puts it, "With boundaries that blur or dissolve altogether, her paintings invite viewers into a world of movement, luminosity, and breathless openness."

Ms. Barone's work reflects a venturesome sensibility, ranging from almost childlike paintings of cats and other animals to abstraction and geometric floral compositions.
