Christopher Engel Solo

Tue, 07/22/2025 - 15:05
Christopher Engel's painting "Light Becoming Form" can be seen at Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor.

“Radiance: The Light Within,” a solo show of paintings by Christopher Engel, opens Thursday at the Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor and will continue through Aug. 14.

Mr. Engel’s visual language is layered, integrating collaged materials and references from India, China, Renaissance iconography, Buddhist deities, and alchemical symbols. His abstract works, says the gallery, are “charged with jagged lines, moving in divergent directions, intersecting and folding back on themselves to form triangles and zigzag motifs.”

A reception will be held Friday, August 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
