A Bay Shore woman was arrested on a felony assault charge early Saturday morning at a residence on Old Montauk Highway in Montauk.

East Hampton Town police accused the woman, Zoila N. Perez-Fuentes, 24, of intentionally throwing a piece of glass at a man’s head, resulting in a cut to his skin and causing him head pain. She was taken into police custody at about 1:30 a.m., charged with second-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon or instrument.

She was arraigned in Town Justice Court Sunday morning before Justice David Filer, who released on her on her own recognizance with an order to be back in court on Jan. 28.
