Paid Notice: Catherine DeSanti, 80, of Manakin-Sabot, Va., and East Hampton passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, after a brave fight against pancreatic cancer, surrounded by her loved ones.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Catherine exemplified strength, resilience, and selfless love. Her wonderful sense of humor and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She cherished her time in the garden, took joy in decorating for Christmas, and loved shopping for her family, always thinking of her children and grandchildren.
Catherine is survived by her beloved husband, Rudolph “Rudy” DeSanti, her children, Rudy DeSanti Jr. (Christina), Krista Gulotta (Tony) and Suzi DeSanti (Zeb); her grandchildren Louis III (Ruby), Rudy III, Patrick and Jenna; and her great-grandson Louis IV. She also held her siblings and cousins close to her heart.
Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to live on in the memories of her family and friends.
