Following an extended period of time in which the air conditioning units were out of service, Molly Tuzil, the executive director of the Y.M.C.A. East Hampton RECenter, said in an email to members that new, temporary A.C. units are to be installed on Thursday.

In her email, which was sent on Saturday, Ms. Tuzil thanked patrons for their patience while the organization, along with East Hampton Town and Village, work to "resolve the challenges with the A.C. systems on both a short-term and long-term basis."

"We want to assure you that members will be comfortable at the Y facility this summer in preparation for the permanent air conditioning installation by the Town of East Hampton later this year," she wrote.
