Energy Efficiency Webinar for Homeowners

Energize East Hampton, a town initiative to connect residents and businesses with opportunities and programs that can help them reduce energy use and save money, will host a webinar on home energy efficiency on Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom video conference. The webinar is free. Registration is at energizeeh.org/outreach-events.

Home efficiency experts from Green Team LI, which also offers information and assistance with solar power and heating and cooling services, will explain how to make a residence more comfortable while lowering utility bills. Green Team LI's home efficiency services include cellulose and spray foam insulation, air sealing and weatherization, energy audits, and building envelope work.

Large utility and New York State incentives and rebates and state-subsidized low interest long-term loans are presently available and will be detailed during the webinar.

L.I.R.R. Strike Settled in Time for the Onslaught

New York City residents who plan to spend Memorial Day weekend on the South Fork and commuters who rely on the train to cut through the eastbound morning traffic were breathing easier as of Monday night, when a strike called by a coalition of five Long Island Rail Road unions was settled.
