Screenwriters Lab Deadline Extended

Wed, 01/12/2022 - 10:53

The deadline for applications to the HamptonsFilm's annual Screenwriters Lab has been extended to Friday, Jan. 14.

The lab, which will take place from April 8 to 10, seeks up-and-coming filmmakers to work with award-winning industry professionals to hone their writing skills and fine-tune their feature-length scripts.

It "champions the artistic visions of up-and-coming filmmakers from around the world," HamptonsFilm said in an announcement.

Acceptance letters will be sent on March 16. The application fee is $85. Because of the shifting Covid-19 landscape, the exact format of the lab, whether in-person or virtual, is still to be determined.

Submissions are to be made online via Film Freeway.
