Epic Martial Arts is teaming up with the Retreat to offer a self-defense and safety awareness class on Monday, May 15, for women and girls 14 and older.

"This course will prepare the group with appropriate boundary skills, safety awareness, and basic self-defense technique," Michelle Del Giorno, the sensei at Epic Martial Arts, said in an announcement.

Representatives of the Retreat, a domestic violence shelter and education organization, will be on hand to talk about healthy relationships and other important information.

The class is at 5:30 p.m. at 75 Main Street in Sag Harbor. It costs $25 per person with proceeds donated to the Retreat. Sign-up is by email to [email protected].
