Quail Hill Announces Summer C.S.A.

Summer shares are now available from Quail Hill Farm, one of the country's original community-supported agriculture farms. Family shares, for households of two or more people, and single-person shares as well, run from early June through Halloween, with picking two days a week, including unlimited flowers.

The cost of family shares is $1,655, $265 of which is tax-deductible. Single shares are $880, $160 tax-deductible. Some shares are offered on a sliding scale.

Pickup for boxed summer shares happens Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at either Quail Hill, which is in Amagansett, or Bridge Gardens in Bridgehampton. Running from early July through Halloween, the cost is $1,250; $250 is tax-deductible.

Sign-up is via the Peconic Land Trust website, where more details are available, including options for those with limited financial resources.

A Chowder Extravaganza for Springs Food Pantry

The Springs Food Pantry’s annual Chowdah Chowdown fund-raiser will return to the Springs Tavern and Grill on Saturday afternoon with all-you-can-eat chowder and soup from local chefs, live music by Josh Brussell, a mocktail bar, and a 50-50 raffle with a cash prize.
