Lunch Special
Ed's Lobster Bar in Sag Harbor is offering a $15.95 takeout lunch package on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:30 to 3. The meal includes a choice of salad or New England clam chowder, a burger, half-chicken sandwich, or half-tuna sandwich, and an apple. They are also offering two pizzas, one plain and one white clam and garlic pie, for $20 at lunch. Patrons can call ahead or place orders online at the restaurant's website.

Sybille van Kempen, the owner of Loaves and Fishes Food Store in Sagaponack, has written a series of cookbooks with with Licia Kassim Householder, a chef, featuring dishes made from ingredients from local farms. The books have been released in seasonal trios, and the winter series will go on sale on Wednesday on the store's website. The cost is $50.

Smokey Buns, a conveniently located burger joint, and Scoop and Waffle, a sweet little ice cream spot, off Park Place in East Hampton, were the perfect spots for the students of The Star’s Summer Academy to have a casual meal together on a Friday afternoon and try their hands at restaurant reviewing.
