Good Spirits, and Wine

Sagaponack Farm Distillery had a soft opening for its tasting room at 369 Sagg Road in Sagaponack last weekend. A new venture of the Foster farming family, the distillery produces potato-based Sagaponacka vodka as well as rhubarb liqueur. “Starting our soft opening to work out the kinks,” the distillery wrote on its Facebook page on Friday. “Stay tuned for our Grand Opening perhaps next weekend.” A representative of the distillery could not be reached by press time for this page, but we’re excited to hear more.

Wolffer Estate’s second batch of limited-edition brandy, made from chardonnay grapes, is on sale and will be available for pickup only at the estate’s boutique in Sagaponack starting Saturday. A bottle is $75. Orders can be placed on the winery’s website.

The sommeliers at Park Place Wines and Liquors in East Hampton Village will hold a class on holiday wines at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The cost is $15. Reservations are by calling the store.

The Bridgehampton Inn will hold a three-course prix fixe family-style Asian dinner on Friday Dec. 20. The menu features appetizers such as crab Rangoon, and crispy duck buns with an orange hoisin glaze and cucumber. The entrees include charred Korean short ribs with kimchi rice, and pad Thai with chicken, and for dessert, there is green tea cheesecake. The cost is $85 per person, plus gratuity.
