Hoops 4 Hope Says Bring It

Thu, 08/13/2026 - 10:23

Love of the Game — Bring It, this year’s Hoops 4 Hope summer benefit, will be held on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. in Springs. Attendees have been encouraged to come in clothes that best proclaim a love for the game, be ready to bid in auctions and participate in activities, and ultimately learn about how basketball can positively impact kids in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Hoops 4 Hope, a nonprofit organization based in Amagansett, is dedicated to the Ubuntu philosophy, one that champions teamwork, participation, and growing together to empower underserved youth in Africa through an opportunity to learn and play basketball. Since 1995, the organization has reached 6,795 young people in nine communities, with over 420 program hours a month.

The auction will have an “art in motion” theme, with original works that speak to the community spirit of basketball. Aside from that, guests should be prepared for life-skills workshops and hands-on uniting activities.

Tickets are $125, $200 for a couple, or $300 for a family. The fund-raiser will be held at a house in Springs to be announced to ticket buyers.
