Springs School students enjoyed the annual Buy One Get One book fair recently, especially liking the fact that they get a free book for every one that they buy, thanks to the Springs School PTA.

The book fair would not be possible without parent volunteers. Shelby Cinelli has been running the fair each year and loves it, saying that it is a highlight of the school year. “My favorite part of the book fair was seeing the kids’ reactions when I told them they could pick out something else for free, and get two things instead of one. Some were shocked, and everyone was happy,” she said.

Not only do the volunteers enjoy the book fair, but so do the shoppers. Brooke Lys, a second grader, got four books, a bunch of mini notebooks, and one regular-size notebook. “I bought a book that I really liked,” she said. “I didn’t know the series went up to 17 books, so I got the 17th book.” Brooke loves the book fair every year because she has the opportunity to choose from a new selection of books. Additionally, she and her classmates can’t wait to enjoy some new books their teacher received for their classroom.
