CMEE Birthday Bash
The Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton will have a 20th birthday party for itself on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Families have been invited to join in the singing, dancing, crafts, and cupcakes to be offered. The cost is $19, but museum members get in free.
Another Birthday
Tomorrow, the John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor will mark a birthday of its own, celebrating its 115th year with music and fun for all ages at 4 p.m. On Sunday, two programs should draw families with younger children: a story time with Wally the Reading Dog at 11 a.m. and a family puzzle challenge at noon.
Also on the agenda for kids and teens, there’s a tween doughnut-decorating session on Tuesday afternoon at 4, and a teen movie night with “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” showing on Wednesday at 4.
Tweens can make tombstone treats at the library on Friday, Oct. 17, at 5 p.m.
Crafts and Snacks for Teens
The East Hampton Library has all sorts of things happening this week for teens, tweens, and little kids.
High school students can drop by this afternoon at 3:30 to make cheesecloth ghosts, and — less fun, but important — there’s a chance to take a practice SAT on Saturday at 7:45 a.m. Hungry teens will be provided with the ingredients to make mug Rice Krispies treats on Wednesday at 4, and next Thursday there’s a graffiti logo workshop with Chris Vivas at 5.
On tap tomorrow at 3 p.m. for grades six to eight are a Ping-Pong party with snacks and Nintendo Switch and on Friday, Oct. 17 at 3:45, a snacks session.
Younger patrons, ages 5 to 11, can take part in a parrot craft session next Thursday at 4 p.m. Registration is through the library’s calendar page.
Cookies Galore
Bakers from the South Fork Bakery will be at the Amagansett Library on Saturday at 1 p.m. for a cookie-decorating workshop for kids of all ages. Sugar cookies and decorating supplies will be provided. Advance registration is requested.
