Celebrating Springtime

Hamptons Pride, an organization that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, will host a spring-theme children’s party on Saturday featuring music, treats, and games. The event is from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Wainscott Green, 278 Montauk Highway. Children must be accompanied by an adult. It’s a drop-in kind of party — no advance registration needed.

Flowers will be the theme of story time at the John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor tomorrow at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 11. Next Thursday, bird’s-nest cake pops will be the project for kids in grades two to five. An adult must be in attendance with each child under 10 for all John Jermain kids’ programs, and advance sign-up is necessary at johnjermain.org.

Looking ahead to next Thursday at 4 p.m., the sunshine continues at the East Hampton Library, where kids ages 3 to 6 can make rainbows using colored cotton balls as the medium. Families must sign up ahead of time via the event calendar at easthamptonlibrary.org, or by phone to 631-324-0222.
