Waking “Sleeping Beauty”

The Hampton Ballet Theatre School will perform “Sleeping Beauty,” featuring talented students alongside professional dancers, plus original choreography and hand-sewn costumes, for four shows starting on Friday, April 29.

Sara Jo Strickland, the ballet school’s director, called it “a magical story of good versus evil, ending with true love conquering the sleeping curse of 100 years.” Five seniors from high schools here, Corrina Castillo, Lauren Halsey, Marrina Jacka, Anna Kastrati, and Sedona Silvera, will dance their final Hampton Ballet shows in featured roles. Corrina and Holiday Bovio, the school’s apprentice, share the leading role of Aurora.

The performance will take place in the new auditorium at the Bridgehampton School. Show times are April 29 at 7 p.m., April 30 at 1 and 7, and May 1 at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $20 to $35 in advance and $25 to $40 on performance days. Group rates are available for parties of 10 or more. They can be bought by phone at 888-933-4287 or online at hamptonballettheatreschool.com.
