Sculpture and Poetry at Leiber Collection

Tue, 08/27/2024 - 15:36
Monica Banks, whose sculptures are part of the Garden of Friends exhibition at the Leiber Collection, will be there with her husband, Philip Schultz, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, for a conversation focused on sculpture and poetry.

“Something About Sculpture and Poetry,” a conversation featuring Monica Banks and Philip Schultz, will happen at the Leiber Collection in Springs on Saturday afternoon at 4. The couple, who are married, will discuss how the visual image and written word have inspired each of them, and how that has intensified and affected their lives together and their family.

Ms. Banks is an award-winning artist whose work is held in many public collections, while Mr. Schultz, the author of eight books of poetry and two memoirs, received the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 2008.
