Joplin Tribute
"Joplin's Pearl," a concert tribute to Janis Joplin, will bring the Summer of Love to Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor on Saturday at 8 p.m. Featuring Amber Ferrari in the title role, the show is a full theatrical production with vintage 1960s attire and an eight-piece band, including a horn section.

Tickets are $35.

The Rabbit Hole
The "Art Goes to the Movies" series at the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in Springs will conclude Friday evening at 7 with Louis Malle's 1975 film "Black Moon." The film follows a young heroine down a metaphorical rabbit hole into the surreal domestic life of a very unconventional family. Vincent Canby of The New York Times called it "baffling and beautiful and occasionally very funny."

The childlike, sexualized heroine suggests the artist Balthus's provocative paintings of young girls.

Choral Auditions
The Choral Society of the Hamptons will hold auditions in early October for singers interested in joining the group before its next concert on Dec. 4. The society rehearses primarily at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church, and the winter concert will be held there as well.

The December concert, which will be directed by Walter Klauss, will include compositions by Bach, Vaughan Williams, Gerald Finzi, and Dieterich Buxtehude.

Prospective singers have been invited to the first rehearsal, which will take place Monday at the church, and to audition before the second or third rehearsals (Oct. 10 and 17). Appointments to audition can be arranged by email to [email protected] or by calling Maria Fumai Dietrich, the administrative director, at 631-204-9402.

The tour will stop at the Sag Harbor Cinema, the American Hotel, Sen restaurant, and The Church, all of which are historic buildings that have undergone recent architectural updates. Exterior and interior tours will be led by local architects and building managers.

This article has been modified from its original and print versions to reflect the postponement of the Wine and Roses fund-raiser due to the forecast of inclement weather.
