Yom Kippur will be observed with services in East Hampton and Sag Harbor beginning on Sunday evening.
In East Hampton, the Jewish Center of the Hamptons will have services on Sunday at 8 p.m. and on Monday at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Virtual tickets to watch a live stream of services are available by a donation of choice at jcoh.org. Tickets are required for those who plan to attend in person. They are included with membership, or can be bought with a $750 donation.
Chabad of the Hamptons, also in East Hampton, will have its Sunday evening Yom Kippur service at 6:40 and Monday services at 9 and 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. A buffet will be served to break the fast after 7:28 p.m. Reservations are a must at jewishhamptons.com, although there is no set ticket price.
In Sag Harbor, Temple Adas Israel will mark Yom Kippur with services on Sunday at 7 p.m. On Monday, there will be a 10 a.m. service, a bereavement and support group in the lower level at 1:15 p.m., a family service at 2, and services at 3:30, 5:15, and 6:15, followed by a breaking of the fast. Tickets for nonmembers cost $180 and can be reserved at templeadasisrael.org. Services are also livestreamed on the temple’s website and YouTube channel.
Gesher | the Bridge Shul will observe Yom Kippur at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor on Sunday at 6:20 p.m. and Monday at 9 a.m., 2:15 p.m., and 5, with a break-fast following the 7:29 blowing of the shofar that evening. Registration is at bridgeshul.org. There is a requested donation to attend, but those unable to donate can contact the synagogue for accommodations.
