“The beginning of forever starts with a yes.” So said Steven Thorsen in announcing the engagement of his daughter Elise Suzanne Thorsen to Michael Ryan Fresa.
Mr. Thorsen and Elise’s mother, Suzanne Thorsen, live in East Hampton. Mr. Fresa’s parents, Cathy and Luciano Fresa, live in Springs.
The couple were engaged over the summer; he proposed at sunset at Clearwater Beach in Springs, with their parents looking on. They have not yet set a date for the wedding.
They both graduated from East Hampton High School. Ms. Thorsen is a kindergarten teacher at the John M. Marshall Elementary School. Mr. Fresa is an electrician for East Hampton Town and a captain in the Springs Fire Department. They live in East Hampton.
