A North Carolina man was arrested on a charge of damaging private property, a class-E felony, after an incident at Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk early Saturday morning.
Odhran Coyle, 22, allegedly tore a rear windshield wiper off the back of a white vehicle. The estimated cost of repair for the damage was $300.
East Hampton Town Justice Steven Tekulsky released Mr. Coyle on his own recognizance later that morning. He will appear in Justice Court on Wednesday for arraignment.

Erickson has passed the Civil Service police chief exam, and will be officially promoted to the rank of chief when the village board meets on Oct. 18.
