A celebration of Frazer Dougherty’s life will take place at LTV Studios, the public-access television station of which he was a founder, on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The celebration is open to all in the community. Mr. Dougherty, who in his earlier days had been a B-25 pilot who flew 63 missions with the 345th Bomber Group in New Guinea during World War II, died on Aug. 29 at home in Aventura, Fla., at the age of 101.

Montauk Fairy Village Is No More

The man who created a fairy village in a Montauk nature preserve has removed the plastic figurines and tiny structures after a neighbor complained that the whimsical installation was junking up the preserve. “I didn’t know it would be such a polarizing thing,” he said.
