Silvia Méndez is a bilingual journalist based in Westhampton, Méndez has passion for storytelling and amplifying diverse voices. Originally from Colombia, she focuses on community-centered reporting and features that explore identity, place and culture. Her experience spans investigative journalism, news reporting, digital media, and public communications for the Colombian government. Outside of writing, she enjoys cooking Latin American dishes and hearty one-pot meals, and serves in her church’s youth group, children’s ministry, and communications team.
