Springs

March 28, 2011

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the board of directors, I wish to thank Ben Krupinski and his crew for the recent renovation at the Springs Parsons House, home of the Springs Library. Mr. Krupinski, with great generosity and community spirit, undertook this work at no cost to our society or the town, which owns the building, and we and our patrons are most grateful.

The children’s room has been repainted and new lighting installed. The room above, which had been unusable, has a new floor, new windows, insulation, and ceiling, as well as electric outlets. The back stoop is now weatherproofed and appears very elegant, as does that side of the building, with new shingles and painted windows.

We also wish to acknowledge the director of the East Hampton Library, Dennis Fabiszak, who contacted Mr. Krupinski about the building’s needs.

We invite the public to come and see for itself the results of community spirit.

Sincerely,

HEATHER ANDERSON

President

Springs Historical Society
