Those searching for the thrill of competition can head to Montauk this weekend, where a triathlon, a fishing tournament, and a surfing contest are all planned.
The Kiwanis Club of East Hampton and the Montauk Friends of Erin are hosting the annual Montauk Mercury Grand Slam Charity Fishing Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at Uihlein's Marina. More details can be found at mtkmercurygrandslam.com.
Also this weekend are the Montauk Lighthouse Triathlon on Sunday at 6:30 a.m. and the Rell Sunn benefit surf contest on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ditch Plain. In case of rain or no waves, the surf contest will be held on July 22.
