Volunteers are needed to help pick up trash from road sides in downtown Montauk on Friday morning.

The East Hampton Litter Action Committee, the group organizing the cleanup, will meet at 10 a.m. in the parking lot next to the Montauk IGA. "Any time you can spare" would be helpful, the group says.

Bags for trash collection will be provided. Those pitching should take their own gloves.
