Toy Drive and Trees on Long Wharf

The holiday toy drive of the Sag Harbor Community Food Pantry has begun. New, unwrapped toys can be donated at the Long Wharf Windmill daily through Dec. 11 between noon and 5:30 p.m.

The toy drive is co-sponsored by the Sag Harbor Lions Club, whose members have begun selling Christmas trees at the windmill during those hours.

The drive benefits the patrons of the food pantry. Proceeds from the Christmas tree sales are donated to several village organizations.

Construction fences were placed around the Springs General Store last week, and Daniel Bennett, co-owner of Springs General Real Estate, confirmed that he had applied for a building permit and was hopeful work could begin soon, with a possible opening in 2027.
