Carnival Starts Tuesday in Sag Harbor

The Sag Harbor Fire Department carnival will take place Tuesday through Aug. 7 from 5 to 10 p.m. at Havens Beach.

A fireworks display will go off on the night of Friday, Aug. 6.

Wristbands for unlimited rides will be available for purchase on Tuesday, Wednesday, and next Thursday.

Item of the Week: David H. Huntting’s 1874 Address

On May 26, 1874, David H. Huntting (1815-1885) gave a historical address to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the First Presbyterian Church of East Hampton’s Sunday school. Huntting was a logical choice as a speaker since he had strong connections to the school and the church.
