Stony Brook Southampton Hospital kicked off a winterlong coat drive last week, asking for donations of new or gently worn coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to help people in need.

They can be dropped off at the hospital on Meeting House Lane, the Southampton Town Police Department headquarters at 110 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays, or the Quogue Village Police Department at 115 Jessup Avenue. The drive will run through Feb. 25.
