Trees, Wreaths for Sale in Amagansett

Holiday greenery will soon be available in many places around town.

The Kiwanis Club of East Hampton will sell Christmas trees at the American Legion Hall on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., continuing on weekends through the month of December. Proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis Club of East Hampton, which supports youth in the community.

Looking ahead, the Amagansett Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host its annual Christmas wreath sale on Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Buddhist Monks on the Path to World Peace

Twenty or so monks from a monastery in Texas are making their way to Washington, D.C., on a mission of compassion, while locally a class on the Buddhist path to world peace will be held in Water Mill.

‘ICE Out’ Vigils on Friday

Coordinated vigils for what organizers call victims of federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement will happen across the East End on Friday at 6 p.m. and in Riverhead on Saturday at 10 a.m., with local events scheduled in East Hampton Village and Sag Harbor.
