Camp SoulGrow, a nonprofit born in Montauk 12 years ago and now offering programs for kids there and in Palm Beach, Fla., will celebrate its anniversary with a party at the Gig Shack in Montauk on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.
There will be live music, drink specials, and a raffle. While Camp SoulGrow is all about workshops for kids, Friday's party is more geared towards adults, so kids should be accompanied by one.
All next week, though, there's fun in store for kids only, from cannoli making to surfing to birdhouse painting, cooking, and even learning how to process fish. Most workshops cost $28.52, including all fees.
Sail Inn on West Lake Drive will be the spot for a cannoli workshop and mermaid beach party on Sunday from noon to 1:30 p.m.
On Monday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. it'll be surfing with CoreysWave at Ditch Plain, with wetsuits and boards provided. This one costs $76.54.
Birdhouse painting on Tuesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. will take place, appropriately, at the Bird restaurant in downtown Montauk.
Next Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m. kids can take a tour of the kitchen at the Dock restaurant and then learn how to process freshly caught fish next door at Gosman's Fish Market.
Mini golf and sailing is in store on Friday, Aug. 7, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Puff N Putt.
