Parrish Student Exhibition

The Parrish Art Museum’s annual Student Exhibition will open on Saturday in Water Mill with a day of music, activities, and refreshments beginning at 11 a.m. The show includes work in a variety of mediums by over a thousand student artists from across the East End, created in collaboration with their art teachers and in clubs and after-school programs.

Along with tours of the exhibition, the preview day will include a drop-in drumming circle led by Mike Guglielmo, a music therapist, from noon to 2 p.m., and workshops with Linda White from noon to 4. The Southampton String Ensemble will play from 2 to 4. Admission is free all day.

Pot o’ Gold Catapults

At the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton on Saturday, a catapult workshop for ages 3 to 7 will bring to mind leprechauns, shamrocks, and the “luck of the Irish.” After making a catapult with popsicle sticks, participants will “launch gold coins into the lucky pot,” according to the museum. The cost is $35 per child, including admission to the museum. Members pay $15.
