Art for Kids in Bridgehampton

Children’s summer art classes have returned to the Bridgehampton Museum. The classes are for kids ages 6 to 12 and registration is week by week. The cost is $450 for museum members, and $485 for nonmembers.

“We want to inspire children to learn that there are many creative ways to tell one’s own story and leave one’s mark in history,” said Nina Rayburn Dec, the executive director.

Running for seven weeks, the classes cover up-cycled and tie-dyed art, cartooning, visual and oral storytelling, dance and improv, yoga, abstract painting, and mixed-media self-portraits.

Classes are held from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, except on holidays. Registration is at bridgehamptonmuseum.org or by phone at 631-537-1088, extension 5.
