While it might not be ideal for spur-of-the-moment registration, I-Tri’s Hamptons Youth Triathlon on Saturday morning should give spectators plenty to cheer for.

The course at Long Beach in Noyac features a 300-yard swim, 6-mile bike ride, and 1.5-mile run for ages 10 to 17 beginning at 7:30. Some of the participants have been training for months with I-Tri’s coaches, who help the nonprofit realize its mission of empowering adolescent girls through fitness.

Registration costs $50 plus an online processing fee at bit.ly/4krVwyg. Those who want to pick up their packets at the beach on Saturday must pay a $10 fee to do so. There is, of course, no charge to watch, but anyone inspired by what I-Tri does can sponsor a girl at the same registration site, saving the $50 fee.
