A Celebration of Food at WACH

Tue, 08/27/2024 - 16:26
Nadine Robbins's "I'll Take Six on the Half Shell" can be seen at the Women's Art Center of the Hamptons.

"Feast — A Still Life” opens Thursday at the Women’s Art Center of the Hamptons (WACH) in Bridgehampton with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. On view through Oct. 14, the exhibition features work by Andrea Alvin, Monica Banks, Nancy McIntyre, Shayna Leib, Edwina Lucas, Maryann Lucas, and Nadine Robbins.

“ ‘Feast — A Still Life’ reminds us that a feast can be as simple as looking at the goodies in a bakery store window or savoring a piece of candy,” Joi Jackson Perle, WACH’s associate director, said. “The quiet moments of joy that food brings are reasons enough to celebrate our daily bread in art.”
