Pickleball Returns

The East Hampton Indoor-Outdoor Tennis Club is offering pickleball again, on its platform tennis courts. Clinics for beginners costing $10 a person are to be given tomorrow, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and on Saturday, from 3:30 to 5, by the club’s pro, Matej Zlatkovic.

 

Long-Distance Races

The Hamptons Marathon and Half-Marathon and the MightyMan Montauk triathlons are to be held over the Sept. 28-29 weekend.

The start-finish line for the marathon and half-marathon on Saturday the 28th will be at the Southampton Intermediate School on Leland Lane. The start time is 8 a.m.

MightyMan Montauk, whose start-finish line is at Fort Pond, offers three races, beginning at 6:50 a.m. on Sunday the 29th — a sprint triathlon (750-meter swim, 17K bike, and 5K run), an Olympic distance (1.5K swim, 40K bike, and 10K run) triathlon, and a half-Ironman triathlon (1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and 13.1-mile run).
