Now, CBD Dog Treats

A launch party for a line of CBD dog treats created by the Alchemist’s Kitchen, a New York company that sells botanical medicines, herbal remedies, and plant-based beauty products, will be held at the Mandala Yoga Center for Healing Arts in Amagansett on Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Carly Beck, a painter of pet portraits, will be on hand, and dogs will be able to sample sushi and pizza-flavored treats.

For Cancer Care

French Presse Linens, an Amagansett bedding boutique, raised more than $20,000 for the organization Cancer Care from a July 13 memorial event for the store’s founder, Sarah de Havenon-Fowler, who died of brain cancer last year.

Dylan Fowler, Ms. de Havenon-Fowler’s son, announced that the store would continue to donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of its private label products to Cancer Care, which helps people manage the emotional, practical, and financial challenges of fighting cancer.
