Margaret Edwards, 67

Margaret A. Edwards, who lived in East Hampton from infancy until 1966, died on Nov. 11 at home in White Post, Va., after an illness. She was 67.

She was born on May 5, 1944, in Oklahoma City to James P. Amaden and the former Margaret Smith. She married James N. Edwards Jr. on Nov. 22, 1965. Mr. Edwards, a retired Navy captain, survives, as do their daughters, Heather E. Wilckens of Manakin-Sabot, Va., and Michelle A. Kinnear of Madison, Ga., their son, James P. Amaden Jr. of East Hampton, and four grandchildren.

Ms. Edwards, who was known to friends as Gaye, was a teacher and a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Berryville, Va., where a funeral for her was held on Nov. 19. The Rev. William K. Dawson officiated. She is to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

Memorial donations have been suggested to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, Va. 22601.
